A FEW WORDS
About Sol
Music has always been present in my life.
I grew up in Uruguay to the sound of the rhythm and the party of Candombe, a legacy of the Africans who arrived in these lands of South America.
Living in other countries I learned their culture through percussion, singing and dancing.
The drum represents for me a way of communicating, very ancient and close at the same time, connecting us with our primitive, visceral and powerful part; something that I have always enjoyed very much and where I feel fulfilled.
Along with percussion, my love for singing was born. I found in the union of these two tools, the perfect balance between "earth and sky". The drum always connected me to the earth and to my personal power, and the voice gave wings to my emotions and feelings. Merging the two seems natural to me.
Over time I realized that doing it from the total freedom of my body completed the perfect circle. The body integrates and expresses this power and these wings through movement.
I have been in music for more than 29 years, I have played on stages all over the planet, I have always enjoyed sharing and expressing music, in whatever format and situation.
Today I am fully dedicated to giving workshops in which I teach these tools that have made me so happy throughout my life, to share them with those who wish to rediscover themselves through music, movement and group creation.
"In music all feelings return to their pure state and the world is nothing but music made real."
Arthur Schopenhauer
